Most A Level subjects include an element of mathematical or statistical analysis, some of which is beyond the scope of GCSE Mathematics. This is where Core Maths come in. Core Maths is equivalent to an AS Level and allows students to keep practicing their mathematical skills in a more real-life context. It is an extremely highly recommended companion to any 3 A Levels you study.

Where the Course Leads

Universities and employers alike consider Core Math’s to be a great asset and students who have studied this course are starting to get lowered offers from universities, as they are proving that they can cope with the mathematical demands of a higher course.
