At St Edward's we are committed to supporting the well-being of all members of the community.  This includes many aspects of life including physical health and mental health as well as social, emotional and spiritual well-being.  It encompasses such aspects as:

  • happiness and confidence
  • a feeling of autonomy over one's life, problem-solving skills, resilience, attentiveness and a sense of involvement with others
  • the ability to have good relationships with others and to avoid disruptive behaviour, delinquency, violence or bullying.

Student well-being is monitored and supported in a number of ways by different people.  The most significant ones are:

  • Year Leaders
  • Student Office
  • SEND Department
  • Student Engagement Team including behaviour support
  • School Nurse
